Kristen has been practicing law in Georgia since 2006. Kristen focuses her practice exclusively to personal injury cases, including car accidents, slip and falls, construction defects, premises liability claims, dog bites and other negligent acts. Kristen is a 2006 graduate of Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. In May of 2005, Kristen was recognized as an Outstanding Female Student by Loyola University College of Law. While in law school, Kristen was the treasurer of the Black Law Students’ Association. She was also a member of the mock trial team and was a semi-finalist in the Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Competition. Kristen comes to the Durham Law Group from a background in the Atlanta Public Defender’s office and prior personal injury litigation-focused legal positions in the Atlanta area. Her extensive litigation experience, outstanding work ethic and courtroom presence make her a strong advocate. Kristen has been recognized by the National Black Lawyers as one of the “Top 40 under 40” black lawyers in the State of Georgia. Kristen is also a registered mediator. She currently serves on the BAY Mediation panel of mediators.
When Kristen is not practicing law, she spends her time volunteering in her community. Kristen is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., The Links, Inc., and the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers. She has served as a Teen Court Judge for Fulton County Juvenile Court, and she has also served as a judge for several mock trial and moot court competitions throughout the city. Kristen has also mentored at-risk youth and coached an award-winning middle school cheerleading squad. When she is not working or serving her community, Kristen also enjoys kickboxing and traveling the world.
